Luciana Dutu joined our team in 2023, as a Senior Associate. With 10 years of experience in dispute resolution and corporate law, Luciana has been constantly exposed, also in her previous experience, to complex legal issues, in areas spanning from tax and administrative litigations, labor disputes, real estate disputes, to corporate disputes and procedures before the ECHR.
She has been involved in notable VAT, CIT and transfer pricing litigations, as well as in proceedings for the recovery of APIA subsidies, including preliminary references to the ECJ, for some of the key players in sectors like IT, agriculture, construction or services.
Luciana acquired extensive expertise in employment and labor related disputes, ranging from redundancy, disciplinary procedures, discrimination and harassment, performance appraisals to remuneration and benefits.
She also assisted a foreign hedge fund in a complex litigation project, as well as in a row of corporate related disputes.
In the real estate area, she advised various real estate services companies in disputes related to residential projects, as well as in claims for land recovery.
Luciana holds a dual law bachelor’s degree from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University and the University of Bucharest. She also obtained a Master’s degree in International and European Law from Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University, as well as an LL.M. in International Arbitration (taught in English) from the University of Bucharest. Luciana is a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2013.
