During his career he assisted clients in several ground-breaking transactions in Romania and has represented in major litigation and arbitration proceedings, with a broad experience across various practices and at all levels of judicial proceedings.

Apart from his consultancy activity, Paul Pop acts as PhD. Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, teaching the first year and master classes on the organization and ethics of the legal professions, and leading the civil procedural law seminars for the 4th year-class.

In the litigation and arbitration areas, Paul Pop covers a wide range of civil and commercial litigation practices, including real estate and construction litigation, M&A litigation, tax disputes, intellectual and industrial property, cross-border litigation, government and regulatory litigation, domestic and international arbitration.

He has successfully represented prominent Romanian entrepreneurs in high-stakes court cases, litigated numerous real estate disputes for leading national and international developers and investment funds - including title or land use disputes, commercial lease dispute, insurance claims, mortgage-backed securities, partnership disputes, and real estate insolvency proceedings. As well, he was engaged in major civil and commercial litigation cases, and advised clients in judiciary and extra judiciary settlements.

Paul Pop has a great deal of experience in different business law practices, including real estate, corporate M&A, public procurement, tax, commercial law. He is highly involved in the clients’ projects throughout the negotiations, transaction closing and agreement signing.

He focuses mainly on advising investment funds, multinationals and family-owned companies on all aspects of real estate law, and is particularly involved in landmark sale and lease transactions as well as project development, advises on tax planning, financial instruments and cross-border financing, and has experience in a variety of deals, including private equity transactions, public takeovers, mergers and joint ventures. His track record includes major transactions with an aggregated value of more than one billion Euros.
